Our partners are at the heart of the operation of this not-for-profit law firm. My Community Legal (MCL) is an independent initiative of the Gold Coast District Law Association and many collaborators. We offer local practitioners and law students who intend to become lawyers the opportunity to serve the people of Gold Coast and Tweed by providing free legal services to those who need them but cannot afford them. We now have a social work service at our centre that is available to clients who also receive legal aid. Since its opening in 1984, our team of fully qualified lawyers has provided free front-line services throughout the Gold Coast region. Our priority is to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged residents in a variety of jurisdictions, including family law, domestic violence, consumer issues, minor civil claims, motor vehicle accidents, neighborhood disputes, and minor criminal matters. « It has already been said that people who come to organizations like ours must be treated as individuals and not as cases or category numbers – they must be accepted as people of worth and dignity, regardless of their weaknesses, flaws and flaws – they must make their own decisions and decisions – they must be helped, they are not told, What to do – They need to feel that confidential information about them remains as private as possible – they don`t want the world to know about their problems. Our publico pro bono law firm is accredited by the National Association of Community Legal Centres, an ATO Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and a charity registered by ACNC.
Please save us some time or money if you can. Our lawyers provide free legal advice and assistance to individuals through in-person appointments or by phone at our offices in Southport, Ormeau and Kirra Hill, which serve residents throughout the Gold Coast region. Our Southport office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for appointments. We also organize a clinic on Tuesday evenings from 5pm for those who cannot make an appointment during working hours. We also provide legal services in offices located at the southern and northern ends of the Gold Coast. Legal advice and assistance is available from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm by appointment and on Tuesday evenings from 5 pm at our night clinic.

The Gold Coast Community Legal Centre is a general legal centre located in Southport that provides the entire Gold Coast area, from Beenleigh to Coolangatta, with free legal advice, prototyping and collaborative project work, community legal information and general information and recommendations. The service offers services traditionally associated with a Citizen Advisory Office (CAB) and is the only municipal legal centre on the Gold Coast.
