We are looking for candidates with litigation experience and experience in federal administrative law. Knowledge or experience of the Federal Grants Act, drafting federal regulations, the Federal Citizenship Act and other legal issues presented by the FCA or LCA programs are helpful. CFAD will favour individuals with at least two years of legal experience after graduating from law school. Current applicants for law students will not be considered. The incumbent will also develop and deliver interactive training on a variety of topics related to the ethical requirements of federal employees and HHS`s financial disclosure program. The incumbent will also plan and participate in ethics program monitoring reviews, reporting and monitoring. Duties may also include acting as a liaison with the HHS Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and participating in the referral of cases to the Office of the Inspector General when necessary to remedy ethical violations. Occasionally, the incumbent may work on press or congressional surveys related to the ETHICS program and FOIA responses. Overall, the incumbent will focus on the management and compliance of the federal ethics program across HHS and provide legal advice to improve ethics management across the Department.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) division of HHS OGC, PHD, is seeking a lawyer to join our staff to provide comprehensive legal advice and services to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) on a wide range of important, highly visible and often unprecedented occupational safety and health issues. from the Health Risk Assessment Program (which aims to prevent work-related illnesses and reduce workplace hazards) to NIOSH certification of ventilators. Lawyers also work with the Ministries of Energy, Labour and Justice on NIOSH-related issues.
